Bellacatio Announces Cancellation of Tesla CyberTruck Giveaway

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bellacatio Announces Cancellation of Tesla CyberTruck Giveaway and Full Refunds for Ticket Purchases

March 5, 2025 – Chambersburg, PA – Bellacatio, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering education, improving livelihoods, and strengthening communities, announced today the cancellation of its Tesla CyberTruck Giveaway. After careful consideration, the organization has made this difficult decision to ensure its future sustainability and growth.

The Tesla CyberTruck was originally donated to Bellacatio with the intent to be a significant fund raiser for the newly established nonprofit. However, after a thorough evaluation of its resources and long-term objectives, Bellacatio has decided to sell the vehicle privately. All proceeds from the sale will be directed toward supporting the nonprofit’s operating expenses, ensuring continued financial integrity while advancing its mission.

As a result of the giveaway cancellation, all individuals who purchased tickets will be refunded in full. Ticket holders who wish to support Bellacatio’s mission directly, rather than requesting a refund, can contact the organization to specify their preferences. Bellacatio remains dedicated to transparency throughout this process.

“We understand that this announcement may be disappointing to some, but we believe this is the right decision for the organization’s long-term success,” said John Snider, Founder and CEO of Bellacatio. “Our top priority is to ensure the sustainability of Bellacatio and the impact we can make. We deeply appreciate the ongoing support from our community and look forward to future initiatives that will create lasting positive change.”

“The last thing we want to do is let down the veterans that we serve, and that is exactly why we are handling this in the way that we are,” said Justin Slep, President of Veteran Programs at Bellacatio. “No one could have predicted the political landscape around the make of this vehicle. Bellacatio is not participating in politics; we are focused on taking care of veterans and their families. Nothing else matters.”

Importantly, Bellacatio would like to reassure supporters that this change will not affect the upcoming 200 Drawing, scheduled for April 5, 2025. This event is independent of the Tesla CyberTruck Giveaway and will proceed as planned.
